Coleoptera (n) - an order of insects that comprises beetles.

This print takes inspiration from antiquarian beetle collections, now on display in museums, that included everything from sacred scarab beetles to tiny bright june bugs. Each beetle has been hand painted in watercolourbefore being digitally printed in the UK onto 150gsm recycled paper using eco-friendly inks.

For a vintage book plate feel, the species of each beetle has been noted underneath in calligraphy. The perfect addition to an art collection or gallery wall, or great for adding a striking focus to a room on its own. This art print is packaged with a thick cardboard backing board hand-stamped with the Also the Bison logo in a clear compostable plastic pocket.
